Cambridge Studies in International and Comparative Law

This CUP series was started in 1946 by Professors Hersch Lauterpacht, J.A.C. Gutteridge and A.D. McNair. It was subsequently edited by Professor Sir Robert Jennings. In 1994 it was renewed and has become a vigorous broad-based series of monographs in the broad field of international and comparative law, as envisaged by its founders.
The General Editors of the Series are James Crawford, Whewell Professor of International Law, University of Cambridge and John S. Bell, Professor of Law, University of Cambridge.
