Speakers

Andrew Cannon is the Global Co-Head of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer's International Arbitration practice, and of their Public International Law practice. He has extensive experience of acting for states, state-owned entities and major companies in international arbitrations across multiple jurisdictions, under the rules of all major arbitral institutions. He has also acted in high profile litigation cases before a range of international and domestic judicial bodies, including the Court of Justice of the EU and General Court, the UK Supreme Court, House of Lords and Court of Appeal. Andrew is appointed to the UK Attorney General’s Public International Law (PIL) "A" panel of counsel, is Vice-President of the European Users' Council of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and is a member of the Executive Board of the European Federation for Investment Law and Arbitration (EFILA).

Hannah is a partner and solicitor advocate in the international arbitration and public international law group, advising clients globally on complex issues relating to arbitration, public international law and strategic dispute resolution.   Hannah has acted as counsel in ad hoc commercial arbitrations and proceedings under the auspices of major arbitral institutions, including the ICC, LCIA and SCC. She has acted as counsel on a number of investment treaty claims, and advised clients on investment structuring. She also has experience in advising on a range of other public international law matters, including state immunity, immunity of international organisations, and boundaries. She works across a number of sectors, including energy, mining, pharma and financial institutions and banks. Hannah is a member of the City of London Law Society's International Arbitration Committee.
