Silvia Scozia is a British Red Cross Research Fellow on the joint British Red Cross/International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) project on customary international humanitarian law. Prior to joining the project, Silvia worked as a Legal Associate at the ICRC Advisory Service on International Humanitarian Law in Geneva. In 2015-2016, Silvia worked as a Counsel and Research Analyst for the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain in Madrid. She also worked as a legal intern at the International Migration Law Unit of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva, and at the Office of the Prosecutor at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague. In 2014, she supported the work of the Campaign Department of the NGO Oxfam in Seville (Spain).

Silvia holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Law form the Università degli studi di Bari (Italy), and an LL.M. in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy.

She speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.
