Workshop: Human Rights and Storytelling
5 December 2025, 3-5 pm
Venue: Old Library, Lauterpacht Centre

This workshop, led by Dr David Nnanna Ikpo, offers participants a chance to explore storytelling as a methodological tool for work in the field of social justice and minority rights. Dr Ikpo will introduce certain methods that he has used in his own work, including film, short stories, poetic writing and novels. The aim of the workshop is to think about how integrating narratives and people’s stories into research, activism or teaching can shape societal perceptions and legal norms on social justice and equality. Participants will also have the opportunity to actively engage with certain methods through practical exercises tailored to their own research and interests. No prior knowledge or experience with storytelling is required for participating.
