Profile:
Robin Beglinger is a visiting scholar affiliated with the University of Zurich, where he completes a PhD thesis under the supervision of Professor Oliver Diggelmann. Previously, Robin worked for the Swiss Embassy in the United States of America. He obtained his bilingual german/french law degree at the University of Fribourg, and spent a semester at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London. For his PhD research project, Robin has been awarded a Doc.CH grant by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Research Title:
'One Country, One Vote? Alternative Systems of Voting Rights Distribution in International Organizations'
Research Outline:
The object of the research project is the distribution of voting rights in international organizations. The project aims to identify challenges to the principle of “one country, one vote”, currently underlying decision-making in many international organizations. It also demonstrates how alternative systems of voting rights distribution can respond to these challenges.
