Admission is on a termly basis. LCIL bench space dates are based on the University’s academic calendar, however periods are longer than the University term dates and there is an additional Summer Research Period from early July through mid-September.
The minimum visit length is one term during Michaelmas, Lent or Easter terms.
For the Summer Research period, shorter visits can be accommodated subject to availability. You can apply to join for up to a maximum of 52 weeks.

The minimum length of visit is one LCIL term during Michaelmas, Lent and Easter terms.
Visitors are required to pay a deposit on confirmation of visit; the deposit will be deducted from the full fee. The final full balance amount must be paid before arrival at the Centre.
There is no reduction in Centre fee for shorter visits unless during the Summer Research Period. If the length of your visit during the Summer Research Period is shorter, you will be charged pro rata of the above fees plus an administrative charge of £150.
