International Human Rights and International Environmental Law

Research Title:

Indigenous Rights to Environment in International Law

Research Outline:

My project explores efforts in international law discourses to articulate legal reasoning in support of indigenous rights to environment, with focus on approaches in Indigenous rights, international human rights law, international environmental law, and international criminal law. The analysis evaluates the prospects for such discourses to protect indigenous rights to environment, clarifying the issues that may challenge each approach and identifying potential solutions that may facilitate their application.
